My Journey of Faith
As I sit here pondering my life's journey I was raised in a devout Catholic family and went to Catholic school but never really knew that God loved me and heard and answered prayers. I was about 23 and was living in Texas. I remember on my way home driving in the car just finished scaping up money for my mortgage with my 3 daughters and wondering where I was going to get enough money for food for the next few days before payday and I went home and in the mailbox was a check from my Godmother. She had never sent me a check before and never did again. That was the day I realized that God does listen and does answer prayers. At that time I would never have thought how far he would take me to learn to trust in him and that he does hear us and is always with us!

So many people would not have seen this as divine intervention, but simply a coincidence. They go about their lives not realizing the tremendous love that the Father of all of us has for us by sending us what we need at every phase of our journey. By His great grace he has allowed you to realize that you are loved and that all you have received is a gift from him. Glory be!! Beautiful story, beautiful witness!
ReplyDeleteI'm convinced that we miss most miracles that God sends us. We turn to Him (or at least think of Him) when we're in great trouble. More often than not, when the crises resolves 'itself' we give the credit to the people or circumstances attached to the event. Much credit to you, Doallwithlove, for recognizing God's hand in your rescue.
DeleteWonderful story of God unfailing love for us and HIS desire to be in the middle of our lives - sadness and joys. Trusting in God (especially when it comes to money)is so difficult for me and I am gusessing most people. I continue to take matters in my own hands and never fully learning the lesson. I agree with InHisService & Prayer Warrior. Often when we receive a gift from God and we brush it off giving others the credit and failing to recognize God's hand! May our Gusaridan Angels be strengthened when ministering to us in those weak times in our faith & trust in God's unfailing love.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful story of God's presence in our lives, working through people that are very near& dear to us, and sometimes unfamiliar or even total strangers that give us a glimpse of "True Charitable Love!
